Be a MOTHER, not a 5 STAR CHICK

Many of you may know that I am a mother of a sweet, smart and RUDE little boy. (I start with that because I still encounter people that I haven't seen in years who don't know that little fact about me) Karter Ethan (my son) is about 3 1/2 years old. He is taller than the average 3 year old so most people guess that he's 5 or so. lol. So I have dedicated myself at making him smarter than the average 3 year old. Hey, if hes going to be the overly grown kid in school, he will not wear the dunce cap. #imjustsaying With flashcards, Hooked on Phonics and a host of other resources, my son has learned his alphabets, colors, shapes, toilet training and is now learning how to blend letters in order to read words.

Ever since I've had my son, specifically the moment he was thrusted from my womb, my mother instinct was turned all the way up. I never knew in my life that there was this kind of love for a human being. He is my world and my #1 priority. Everything I do is for him. I cant imagine being a mother and having other priorities besides him. Whether it be a man or drugs, I just cant imagine not taking care of him. I watch these shows and hear these stories and they break my heart. One example would have to be Jenelle on Teen Mom 2. Not only is her mother the legal guardian of her 1yr old son but she also allows other things to steer her away from her goals/priorities. Instead of worrying about her boyfriend and getting high with him, she should be making sure she is doing all she can to regain custody of her son. I cannot stand women who don't get the bigger picture and who don't care. You were cool enough to open your legs and make the child, why aren't you cool enough to take care of him/her? Yes, it is a huge responsibility and yes it takes a lot out of you BUT you decided to have the child. Then you have women making child after child after child and not taking care of any of them. She's collecting checks, getting her 'hair done, nails done, everything did' and not taking care of her children. SMDH. In this new day and age, how is it that women don't think of birth control? There are free health clinics everywhere and CONDOMS. You can set up a free facebook account online, name yourself 'Iwishthati Couldhavethismomentforlife', yet you cant Google 'free health clinic'? What a joke. Our women and young ladies need to smarten up. The sight of a pregnant teen walking down the street in Englewood with her leggings and heels is a sight for sore eyes. We have to do better.
One love, Kry$

  1. this post hits close to home for me, yes I am a parent, but it makes me further appreciate the fantastic job that my mother did raising me on her own. I witnessed first hand the many obstacles that come with a single parent home, I fully applaud and respect your dedication to your son, and one day he will look back and realize that having a great mom made his life a lot better and easier. Keep up the great work Mom!
