I recently had a convo with a friend on the phone about dating outside of the box. We both agreed that we were tired of the same ol crap that we have been encountering. You always hear that if you are tired of the same things, change it! So we did.
The problem we ran into was this...the men we dated must be from the same mother. lmao. We found out that these men are just that.... men! You date, everything seems cool and then bam! They're confused...(bullshit) They dont know what they want, they want to date you exclusively but they still want to work on them as a person. They want you to wait around. You are perfect for them and a 'breathe of fresh air' yet...they dont want to commit. Like wtf is that? I dated a guy that I dont normally date. I loved the fact that he was ambitious, kind, social, motivated, SINGLE, no kids and smart as all hell. We dated and everything was fantastic. We had the talk and I felt like I didnt want to be with anyone else and I wanted to commit. I wanted to take what we had to the next level and work on us. He stalled. After a few more weeks of 'not knowing', he caved, i guess. I guess thats how it felt to him cuz after being exclusive for one week, he dumped me. He said something about 'getting himself better situated for me and then making it work in the future.' O_o Are you serious? Now come on, alot of ppl's situations arent the best. Neither is mine but that wasnt my concern. I loved him and wanted to make US work. He said no and expected me to wait. I kept it moving. Life is too short to be with men who dont know what they want or dont want to commit. They want you for the simple pleasures of your company, sex and whatever else but once you want to move past that and LOVE, these ninjas run for the border. Wtf is that about? Can a REAL man answer this? Ladies, do you feel the same?

Being the person who is not big on the casual thing, being committed should be like a second career NOT a job (notice the difference). I say that because when you are committing to someone, time, patience, love and ambition is devoted amongst each other. If you haven't gotten out of your casual phase by 25, your chances of finding someone who is willing to commit like an adult decreases IMO. I take commitment seriously because it effects both of us equally. Men who are afraid are commitment are usually immature and they are dogs. Commitment should not be a algebra problem....its should flow slowly and develop into something that is worthwhile so both parties can be happy.
